Deanna Casaluce - Alex - leaving Degrassi next season
After being the center of the season finale this year after Deanna Casaluce’s character Alex takes a job as a stripper/waitress at a gentleman’s club, she has revealed that the upcoming season seven of Degrassi the Next Generation will be her final season on the series. She has played Alex for three seasons already.
In her interview with CTV.ca:
CTV.ca: What’s next for you in your acting career?
Deanna: This is the very tip of the iceberg; at least I hope it is. I think after this season, season seven, I’ll be leaving the show. I’m planning on moving to Los Angeles in September.
I’m halfway done a degree in philosophy with a minor in social psychology, and I’m leaving that behind for now. I would like to finish my degree because I love learning. But I’m too busy right now.
I am sure fans won’t be happy to hear she is leaving!

hmmm wow that totaly sux alex is my favorite charatcer by far on degrassi. But yagotta do what ya gotta do. I think she should mak little guest apperences,after shes gone :`(

I’ll really miss Alex with all my heart. She’s my favorite character.
But I also love Deanna, she’s beautiful and awesome and if this is where life’s road takes her, she needs to follow it.
