J.T. dies on Degrassi: The Next Generation
All signs point to J.T. Yorke (Ryan Cooley) as the character who dies on Degrassi next month. Here’s why.
First, from the press release:
Finally, Degrassi fans are in for the shock of their lives on Friday, January 26 as they prepare to say good bye to one of their most beloved characters when tragedy ensues on campus.
Then the following episode, the Bitterest Pill has the following description:
Toby in shock over losing a friend, with Liberty’s help, tries to plan a funeral that reflects his late friend’s enthusiasm for life. While planning the funeral they draw comfort from one another and begin to form a closer relationship.
We all know Toby and J.T. are good friends, so it makes sense, and J.T. definitely had “enthusiasm” for life.
And lastly, J.T.’s name doesn’t appear for any of the future episode summaries for the season.
One correction, it seems that the tragedy actually happens at Emma’s house (during a party when Snake and Spike are away) rather than on campus.

Description of JT’s death:
Okay this is after the show happened.
Two guys were out by JT’s car and JT left the party or whatever to go apologize to Liberty cause JT thought Liberty went home.
One guy was peeing (eww) on JT’s car and JT was like “Haha guys, you slay me with your jokes! Now I have to go apolohize to Liberty.”
Then one guy gets mad because he doesn’t want JT and Liberty together, so he’s like, “Oh yeah lover boy? Laugh at this!”
Then the guy pulls out a knife and runs up to JT and stabs him in the back. JT’s bleeding really bad and he falls against the car.
The other guy’s like, “Man, what the hell did you do?” And then they see Liberty comeing so they run.
Liberty turns the corner and sees JT and she runs to him and looks at his back and she’s like, “SOMEBODY HELP!”
The End.
Then the guy runs up to JT

aww i cryed when JT died. and when degrassi showed the videos of JT and those really cutee pics of him. he was the most enthusiastic, funny, and adorable guy ever, i loved him to death - literally. i wish JT didn`t die b/c liberty and him were realy cutee together. ugghh i really miss JT. (ryan your an amazing actor & i miss youu soooooooooooo x10 muchh on the show) PS - DEGRASSi iS THE BEST SHOW EVERRRRR! iloveitttsomuchh.

I aint gonna lie i cried he was like my favorite character on degrassi and now i probably wont watch it anymore….it figures that it would happen when he was gonna tell liberty how he felt….its gay

I am sooo sad J.T. died. I cried soo much. He was my favorite character and J.T. and Liberty were my favorite couple. Jiberty 4ever!!!!!!!! J.T. lives on!!!!

I Love J.T.! I didnt get to see the episode when he died, but i kinda catched on when they were like it’s J.T.’s killer. Then Toby was taliing to him at his grave it was sad. R.I.P. J.T.

i think even if they do come out with new episode it’ll ever b da same…with jt gone and all da otha characters dat left….and r all grown n stuff…
showing them in college or outta da counrty just isnt da same as having da backstabbing n love triangles IN SKOOL…all of them 2gether.u kno
i think dats wat made da show…

why did you have to kill him off why not say he went to live with a relitive he was so hot i’ll miss him i know its acting but it seem so real if mia just stayed at lakehurst j.t and liberty would of been fine
